Leagues & Tournaments
Banner golf league members, the 2015 season will open for play on Saturday, April 18th. Attached is an application for this year’s membership as well as a complete schedule of the season’s upcoming events. An updated weekly schedule will be available at the banner pro shop throughout the season. All scheduled tournament dates are subject to rescheduling and or cancellation due to inclement weather as well as course scheduling conflicts.
This year’s league membership fee will be $160.00. This fee includes the following:
- A ghin number and a usga handicap
- Entry into all 28 scheduled tournaments
- All yearly scheduled cookouts (to be assigned)
- Greens fees at a reduced set rate ($25 to ride / $18 to walk)
- 10% discount on all pro shop merchandise (non sales items)(excludes food and beverages)
- The year end banquet (meal, drinks, and prizes)
As always, the banner golf league is looking to expand its membership. As an incentive to all current members who introduce a new member into the league, they will receive a reduced membership fee of 50% off ($80.00). If every current league member introduces one new member, we can double our league.
In 2015, the banner golf league will be continuing our version of the PGA tour’s FedEx cup, which is named “the buck cup” in memory of our friend and former league member Jim “buckster” buck who passed away in September 2011. In addition to the scheduled tournaments, there will also be additional opportunities to win weekly cash prizes as well as bonus “buck Cup” points through a series of skills challenges (to be assigned). * This fee is for all golfers to cover the cost of extra carts needed to be rented for the additional golfers. Each additional cart cost $65 to rent with a minimum of 10 carts needed to be ordered.

All food and beverage must be purchased through Banner Country Club’s Jack’s Place. No outside food is permitted.
ABSOLUTELY ALL ALCOHOL MUST BE PROVIDED BY BANNER COUNTRY CLUB.
NO EXCEPTIONS. In the event no food will be required, a $5 per player fee will be added.
Complete the online form and bring a $200.00 deposit, made out the Banner Golf Course, LLC to Banner Golf Course Pro Shop located at 10 Banner Road, Moodus, CT 06469.
